A former college NCAA level men’s basketball coach, and a 20-year veteran in the coaching ranks at many levels, Wolfgang Lucena is in his first season at Georgia Prep Sports Academy.
In the 2003-2004 men’s basketball season, Lucena helped lead Lehman Lightning to achieve an outstanding 22-7 record capturing the 2004 CUNYAC champion as well as Lehman College’s first time appearance at NCAA basketball tournament. Coach Lucena has also been spending several years helping and guiding good profile U18 student athletes such as David Cubillan (St Benedicts Prep / Marquette University), Alejandro Flores, Kevin Palacios (Eastern Oklahoma State College), Heberto Guanipa (St Thomas University), Hector Aguilar, Gustavo Leon (Patterson School), Rainer Moquete, Enrique Cova, Gerardo Suero (Our Savior Lutheran School), Carlos Morla (Mt Zion Christian Academy), David Campilongo, (Queen City Prep / BCC ), etc. to enroll high school, prep schools, junior colleges, colleges, and universities.
Wolfgang Lucena spent a couple of years with Head
Coach James Ryans and General Manager Matt Brown as director of the
basketball personnel at Long Island Primetime basketball team of the
United States Basketball League (USBL); his duties included scouting
and supervising the team’s basketball player's profiles and their
professionalism. Coach Lucena was also Istanbul’s head coach in the
Eurobasket Summer League in New York in 2010.
Wolfgang Lucena played basketball, baseball, and
volleyball at college and superior level.

Junior, Axyz, and Raymar reside in a lovely house in Yonkers, New York
along with his grandson Sylar.
