Quinton
Sagoes joins the GPSA Staff in 2014 as Athletics Director and Running
Back’s Coach, after serving the previous two years as Assistant to the
Athletic Director, Director of Football Operations and Running Backs
Coach at Clark Atlanta University.
Prior to Clark Atlanta University, Sagoes was offensive coordinator
and recruiting coordinator at Booker T. Washington High School in 2010
before being promoted to Assistant Head Coach in 2011.
Sagoes joined the Washington staff after spending three years at
Lithonia High School where he coached on both sides of the ball in
addition to being the school’s Athletic Liaison. He arrived at
Lithonia HS after spending three years at Benjamin E. Mays High School
where he was JV Head Coach, Varsity Defensive Backs Coach and
Recruiting Coordinator.
Sagoes has been instrumental in sending many high school athletes to
2yr and 4yr colleges. His teams have been very successful, winning
region championships and participating in the GACA playoffs on
multiple occasions. He was awarded Assistant Coach of the Year in
2003.
Originally from Atlanta, GA, Sagoes graduated from Benjamin E. Mays
High School (’92) where he was a member of the football, baseball and
track teams. Sagoes lettered in football and track at Emory and Henry
College (VA) before receiving his degree in Business Administration
from Herzing University.
Sagoes is married to the former Vanitrice McClain of Ohio, and they
have two daughters, Zah’Niya(14) and Kimberly (11).
