COACH SEAN TARRANT

Defensive Coordinator/ Compliance officer
Coach Sean Tarrant is a native of Detroit, Michigan. “Coach T” as many of his players have called him. Coach T has been with GPSA from the beginning.

Coach Tarrant has coached football on many levels for over 28 years. His coaching experience ranges from high school to semi-pro teams. He spent four seasons with the MIAA Division II Lincoln University football team. At Lincoln, he split his coaching time between the linebackers and the running backs, during his four year run there.
Coach T will head the office of Compliance while spending his on the field time on the offensive side of the ball.

Coach T has also been instrumental in starting and organizing two successful high school football programs in the state of Michigan. From 2009 until 2012, he led the Westside Christian Academy Warriors with an overall record of 27-7. His first year at Westside, his team finished the season with a record of 12-0 and claimed the title of National Athletic Christian Association High School Football Division II National Champions. His 2010 team smashed the National High school record for yards in one game, running up 1,129 yards (642 rushing and 487 passing)

In four years, Coach Tarrant has been able to send 51 out of 58 student/athletes on to further their education by means of football scholarships across the United States.

In 2011-2012, Coach Tarrant was voted the National Christian Schools Athletic Association High School Head Football Coach of the Year. Coach T has a passion to encourage youth too succeed he is a professional Motivational speaker and mentor. Coach T feels his greatest accomplishment is being a loving husband to Rhonda, a loving father of six sons and four daughters and grandfather of four.
